This policy explains what data exists on your device, what limited information is processed externally, and your rights.1. DATA STORED ON YOUR DEVICEThe following data is created and stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. It is never transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party:- Your name (entered during onboarding, used for personalisation within the app)
- Journal entries (text content you write)
- Photos (images you attach to journal entries)
- App preferences (accent colour, notification settings, selected magazine template)This data exists solely on your device. If you delete the app, this data is permanently removed.2. SUBSCRIPTION MANAGEMENTUnfold offers optional paid subscriptions managed through RevenueCat, a third-party subscription platform. When you subscribe, RevenueCat processes:- An anonymous user identifier (not linked to your name or journal content)
- Subscription status (active, expired, trial period)
- Transaction records provided by AppleRevenueCat does not have access to your journal entries, photos, name, or any content you create within the app. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.Apple processes your payment through your Apple ID account. Unfold does not receive or store your payment details.3. DATA WE DO NOT COLLECTUnfold does not use or collect:- Analytics or usage tracking of any kind
- Advertising identifiers
- Location data
- Contacts or calendar data
- Browsing or search history
- Health or fitness data
- Device identifiers (beyond what Apple provides for subscription validation)
- Crash reporting or diagnostics4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICESThe only third-party service integrated into Unfold is RevenueCat (subscription management only). No other third-party SDKs, analytics tools, advertising networks, or data brokers are used.5. DATA SHARINGUnfold does not sell, rent, licence, or share your personal data with any third party.6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACYUnfold does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Since all content is stored locally and no data is transmitted, the app does not pose data collection risks.7. DATA RETENTION AND DELETIONAll journal data is stored on your device. You may delete individual entries at any time within the app. Deleting the app from your device permanently removes all locally stored data.8. YOUR RIGHTSSince Unfold does not collect or store your data on any server, there is no personal data held by us to access, correct, or delete. Your data is entirely under your control on your device.9. SECURITYYour data is protected by your device's built-in security features, including device encryption and biometric or passcode lock.10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICYIf this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.11.
